I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in 2000. I tried alternative medicine for several months with no relief from the pain and stiffness in my joints, in fact I got worse. Then for 4 ½ years I took several major RA medicines (Remicade and Enbrel) that worked wonderfully, but they had there side effects and suppressed my immune system. In late 2004 I got a sinus infection and after several months of antibiotics it wasn’t getting any better. I then developed a staph infection in my nose and the infection traveled to my foot and my abdomen. I was hospitalized for 15 days followed by a long recovery. While in the hospital I was given the name of Jason Blalack, an acupuncturist and herbalist that has worked with people who have RA. I knew I didn’t want to go back to the RA medicines so I gave Jason a call. I’ve been seeing Jason for four months for acupuncture treatment for my RA. I haven’t had a flare and I’m free of pain and stiffness. I wish I would have tried acupuncture years ago when I first diagnosed with RA. I feel wonderful and there are no side effects!
