I came to see Kate for ovarian cysts: Western medicine could not do anything for them. Also, my last period was so painful, I had to take 2 Tylenols and two ibuprofens simultaneously and I was still in pain. After a series of questions that Kate asked it became clear that I was too cold when my last period started – in Eastern medicine it is important to stay warm on that day. Kate gave me two herbal mixtures – one for my cysts, and another – to “warm up†my uterus from overcooling. It really helped with my periods – I don’t have the awful debilitating pain I had before.
